if you have an android phone, the app Mileage is really good. I used it religiously on my GTS before upgrading to the EVO. All the info is exportable via .CSV file and it has a lot of in app statistics in it. Great part about it is that you don't have to actually calculate miles between trips, you only add the odometer reading and the amount of gas filled and it takes care of the rest.

btw, where do you get those apps that track your fuel economy?
Mine is from aCar (android). Fuelly is good too (the weblink someone linked). I just like aCar because i use it to keep track of the VIN and technical crap on my fiancés car and my other car I had for awhile.

Here's an update on mine (now that I have over 6k miles on the car)

aCar is free on android

There is a paid version, it allows you to backup and export your data, but you can fully use the app itself without paying.

I did pay for it though. I like supporting development of apps I like. It was like $4.99, that's cheaper than a fast food burger now-a-days.

2010 Evolution X GSR (Stock)

9/04/2010 - 9/03/2011

Average MPG19.74
Maximum MPG23.64
Minimum MPG17.65
Total Costs$1542.43
Total Miles8366.7
Total Gallons423.9
Total Fill Ups39
Total Days364
Cost per Mile$0.18
Cost per Gallon$3.62
Cost per Day$4.24
Cost per Fill Up$39.55
Gallons per Fill Up10.87
Miles per Fill Up214.5
Miles per Day22.98
Miles per $5.42

Speed/route: 45MPH for 5 miles, 25-35MPH w/lights for 3 miles, 55MPH for 15 miles. Lots of twisties and constant elevation changes
30-45min commute, no track time, occasional aimless driving a few times per month, and the odd 1HR+ journey to the dealership
It doesn't seem to matter if I drive "spiritedly" or very conservatively, I always seem to average 19 to 20 MPG on every tank.

And yes, I do feel like a total dumbass on the rare days I try to hyper-mile an Evo
