You are lucky to get that kind of mileage. What you are driving is a performance vehicle. Expect to pay for the price of one. If you like driving the EVO just chock it up to the expense of owning one. If you want to keep your maintenance down buy a 2nd vehicle to use for work. I'd recommend a honda or toyota 4 cyl. Better gas mileage & maintenance is next to nothing compared to the EVO. Example: break rotors are around ~$30 each slightly less for the rears. Depending on how much you commute for work a 2nd vehicle can practically pay for itself. You may end up spending a couple hundred dollars more over the length of 2 years period... but your EVO will have strictly "fun" miles rather than work miles.
