Well im not an evo pro and new to these cars but have been into many cars in the past...I know the R35 GTR does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and 1/4 mile in right around 11sec and both the evo x and GTR have all wheel drive and have similar wheelbases and dimensions so if you had a evo with 450whp and kept the all wheel drive and had a good launch or launch electronics im sure those numbers could be possible...and it probably wouldnt be THAT expensive either!! Im guessing around $15-20K
A basic HDSS ACT clutch, cams, FP Green or Red, full TBE with HFC, AEM Intake, UICP, 1500 cc Injectors, E85, Tune.
My Evo X SE with only stock turbo, TBE with HFC, Injectors, AEM Intake, UICP, E85 and a tune does 0-60 in 4.0 secs without launch control--e.g. a slow launch
Using launch control I could do under 4 secs but I like my TC-SST too much. 0-60 in 4 is enough for me in a 4 door I paid less than $33k for, and that handles like a porsche 911

You gotta think more like the V8 guys
Drop the weight down to 32-3300 pounds
a 4.3 final drive with a revlimit of about 9k. Should get you to 60mph in first gear.
450 or so Tq Fp red or ef3 that comes in hard low would do the trick.
Thats for 0-60 times. Won't nab you the 11-flat easy. Thats up to the driver.

Amazing how much engineering goes into Evos and GTRs but at the end of the day all most people car about is 0-60 and highway pulls.

My father just purchased a 2012 GT-R and what many people overlook when talking about competing with an R35 is how blindingly fast the car is capable of shifting gears. It takes about 1/4 the total time changing gears compared to a traditional standard transmission car with a good driver. This helps the GT-R pull away a bit between every gear, and keeps the turbos in nearly full spool.
