Which route..power or wheels.

I have a dilemma between ripping up my friends sti which has about 360 at the wheel or buying the wheels I want. If I went with the power I would most likely buy all ets along with the new map turbo ef2. If I went with looks I would buy 19 inch work vs-xx in gold with chrome lip, I have a WW GSR which I think would look insane. By the way I use the car as a DD and have a 1 year old that I haul from time to time. It wouldn't be so hard of a decision but my friend talks so much **** about him murdering evo's.

Given the way that you use the car I would say to go with a set of the lightest wheels that you can find. That will improve acceleration, handling, ride, braking, and possibly looks. Go with the stock size and you can use the tires you have, which will possibly save you the money for some basic power mods.

Wow guys thanks for responses. I knew that most of you guys would go with the power route. My wife however would prolly disagree. Lol. It's hard because I never rolled with stock wheels for more than a couple of months. On the other hand I've never had a beast that is so responsive to power mods.

Go with more power.
Keep the stock wheels for that "Sleeper" look.
Not like our cars are real subtle anyway

Start basic.... intercooler piping, full exhaust setup, tune. and just roll that way. you don't even need an aftermarket intercooler right away. just get good quality parts, get a great tune.... and enjoy the car.

find out what you want from the car and then go from there. learn and figure out what she needs/you need and then buy.

but you MUST enjoy the car.

Power all the way. You'll appreciate the wheels when you're walking out to the car, but as soon as you're in it there's no real feeling like being pushed back in your seat.
