For the price, I'd say ETS over AMS any day when it comes to an Intercooler. And not sure on your comment on Ultimate Racing. Have you ever used their parts? UR has always made extremely high quality parts. Considering they were the goto company in the beginning for the Test Pipes to not throw check engine lights and not use a sparkplug or anything. They also had one of the most cost effective, and great designed exhausts for the Evo VIII. You don't hear a lot about them because they are based out of Canada, and they don't live on the boards. I've never seen a bad part come from them.

My vote is for UR because it's 4.5"
you get amazingly fast customer service should you have any issues
I bought a bunch of stuff from UR and their quality has always been fantastic

The 3.5" is a great intercooler if you plan on going with bolt on's or even an upgraded stock frame turbocharger. Here are the break downs for the intercoolers. This is with no tuning, just bolting on the intercooler and going.

3.0" - 15whp over stock
3.5" - 17whp over stock
4.0" - 22whp over stock

The reason for the gains are due to the size of the intercooler. These cars flow a ton of air volume due to the dual mivec that the factory intercooler is actually restrictive. The best part about an intercooler is keeping the tune consistent with the cooler air intake temps.

Thanks!

Michael

Is there much of a weight difference between the three, or vs stock IC?

stock intercooler is around 9lbs our 3.5" is around 22lbs. We have had customers weigh the cast tank intercoolers at dang near 40lbs

I would say ETS. That's what my next purchase will be. The whole intercooler kit for under $1,000

AMS cost over $1,400 :/

Wow. +17HP is nice, but over double the weight added to the nose seems a little much..

you guys have any plans on doing Ti intercoolers in the future, if that's even possible?

Nope, aluminum only on the intercoolers. You could look at it the other way. If you have a heat soaked intercooler you could be -17 to -50 whp

Just to clear things up, and so everyone knows..... Aluminum is lighter than Titanium.

No hard feelings, just cold hard facts.
