No hard feelings, just cold hard facts.
So 1lb of aluminum is heavier then 1lb of titanium.

PS: I'm joking btw. It reminds me of the feathers joke.

We run ETS on both Drag cars and recommend ETS FMICs for all our customers

Ya, you're right.. I just wasn't 100% sure of everyone's IC composition.

How about a scandium IC? Should be one of the lighter aluminum alloys.

Plus, there's the sub-10lb ARC IC.. wonder how that one's so light, while still providing decent gains?

Extra power is good and can offset any added weight, but personally, I'm more concerned about screwing with the X's weight distribution by making it even more front heavy.

Damn, can you image how much a TI IC would cost, that's a lot of metal

True.. I want one in solid copper or silver, w/heat pipes routed up to the hood vents, lol.

That should dissipate heat like a champ, and with the current market, would hold it's value pretty well over the years

Copper Intercoolers.... Great.. Now instead of scrappers stealing our catalytic convertors they will steal our intercoolers. I'm fine with open exhaust... but no intercooler no boost...

hahah

^^ I was just kidding about the copper/silver IC

And when I said heat pipes, I meant something similar to CPU heatsinks.. just a solid bar on top of the IC with hollow piping to help extract the heat away.

Didn't mean open piping letting the air out.. don't think that would work to well

ETA: I think most cooling heat pipes are actually sealed, containing a liquid coolant (LINK).

i had ets stuff on my 8 they gave me deals and customer service was great.

I switched to a X now and ordered from ultimate racing based on price and the fact that they were one of the first to have most of their mods done. Sadly as years went by all the items I purchased from them started falling apart. My exhaust cracked on a weld. Today my 02 downpipe just broke off clean. My high flow fuel filter kit snapped off during a tunning session spitting fuel everywhere. Thank god my car didnt catch on fire.

So after all this **** I tried contacting them after each item broke all i got was we can sell u another ??? They offered to fix my exhaust but I had to ship it to them and pay for all the shipping. Im waiting on a response to the email I just sent. Im going to post a review about them soon cause this crap is the last straw.

Obviously I'm mad after all the money I spent with them and patience I gave there products fall apart and theyre unwilling to help. From day one I had their parts keep in mind I rarely drive my car its a 08 and I have 13000 miles. The first 2000 miles we completely stock. So 110000 miles UR parts last haha.

My son just got a 4" ETS intercooler installed. Gorgeous piece for sure. And, the power gain with the other mods he did was nice. It seems to be constructed very well too. I am definitely going to do ETS stuff next spring.

I have a 4" ETS FMIC and it installed simple, no problems, on my 2010 GSR. No trimming - nothing!
