Must be getting used to my X
I must be getting used to my X because in a straight line it doesn't seem as fast to me anymore. Handling is phenomenal but power wise it doesn't feel much faster than my Ralliart was. The Ralliart was tuned so I guess it might be time to tune the X. Maybe it was the Ralliart's SST compared to the manual in my GSR. Anyone else feel this way about their stock X?
I went from a Ralliart SST to a GSR. and without a tune.. stock for stock. The Evo has 70 more horsepower? But that's really not that much faster. Now if you tuned your ralliart, it's definitely not going to feel faster much at all. in fact you may have just experienced the "new car turbocharger" which just on the fact that it's new makes it feel faster.
If I was to guess.
If I was to guess.

Get the X. You won't be sorry. Power wise they'll be close because your Ralliart is tuned but the X is still faster stock. Handling wise there's no competition the X runs circles around the Ralliart. I'm just nit picking and starting to get the mod itch after having my Evo for 4 months. I don't really want to head down this path because I'll never stop. I got the GSR in case I did want to mod.
That's good to hear. I am going with a GSR as well. One I am thinking about already has a few bolt on goodies so I guess that should give it more of a boost over the ralliart I would think. Nothing big just intake, exhaust, and UICP from what I can tell.
Lancaster is farm country, but I'm sure you have your fair share of twisties out there. I know the Evo is "quick" in a straight line but I find myself having more fun in the curves. I drive like an old man but do occasionally remind myself of the car's capabilities when traffic conditions are permitting, all within the speed limit of course. I'll bet coming from a tuned Ralliart the "speed" wasn't a major change, but I can't say that for sure since I've never driven a Ralliart.
A tune might be a good way to change the car's feel but then you risk voiding the warranty. For me that's not worth it. If the mod bug is creeping up on you I'd say do some basic bolt-on's, but in phases, just so you can spend some time experiencing / enjoying each new mod.
