+1 For the curves

Take it to a local track day and you'll never look back

Once you find some tracks, you should find videos through your favorite video site.

I'm speaking from experience, there is nothing like it with the X!

Here is my first track experience:

I am used to the power at 448whp.....now looking into an engine build and the headache that will bring.....once you move forward it is hard to stop the addiction.

u need to give her a tune... mine (stock) felt kind of AS FAST as my tuned Ralliart, except that the Evo still felt torquier than the RA on 4 and 5th pulls... but I was too getting used to it and it didn't feel any different from my RA after a month or two... so I grabbed me a Cobb AP, downloaded the 2011 update, loaded up the 93oct map, and OH BOY!!!! Different car! :-)

I was so happy!... until now that someone screwed up my fender and it has to get fixed next week... lol

but also, I sort of grew used to the new speed and NEED MOAR!!!!! So as soon she gets fixed I'ma start hunting for parts to do my e85 setup I've been wanting to do for months now!

That's exactly how I feel about the power of the base GSR and tuned Ralliart. GSR has more torque. Sounds like I know what I need to do but just wanted to hold off because once you start modding you never stop Sorry about your Evo. I had the same thing happen with my Ralliart so I feel your pain. Only my girlfriend did it and not some JA. Hang in there. It makes you sick but it's only cosmetic so it'll be good as new soon.

i'm going on the 8 month mark shortly with my x i'm at about 12000km and "michio the super evo hero" as i call it... is starting to feel slower.. especialy when the new comaro's and newer vette's stomp me over and over at the local track the first 1/8 mile i'm quick.. but after that.. it's got nothing left. i have yet to get much for bolt on's but we'll see how spring treats me.

I moved from a RA with GST to a stock MR and immediately noticed a difference. The stock MR was clearly quicker and, more importantly, it was a hell of a lot smoother. I absolutey cant stand the turbo lag in the RA. Turbo lag is a great evil, IMO. Now for folks who like it, maybe the RA would actually "feel" faster, but it isnt

I just applied Cobb stage 1 to the X and now the difference is hugely noticeable. I took a pretty ugly hit bailing out of the RA into the X, but IMO it was money really well spent.

A GST ralliart probably gives up a few 10ths to 60 over a stock X, which you *should* feel, but gives up a *ton* in handling, balance and power delivery which you will *definitely* feel.

I do think that going from the SST to the 5 speed is making things feel slower. My NSX is 3000lbs and 400HP and the X with SST and Cobb stage 1 feels a *lot* quicker off the line even though its a *lot* slower b/c the SST shifting is explosive vs rowing through a 6 speed which is not.

I feel just the opposite, as my GSR gets broke in it feels much faster than when I first bought it....Ive sited this stat before but Road and Tracks test of the GSR 0-60 is 4.3 seconds and 1/4 mile is 13 flat.....that is FAST! Much faster than a Ralliart and slightly quicker than the MR w/SST. Im pleased with my car and dont anticipate doing any mods.

I can now contribute since I recently traded off the RA for my X. The major difference is the handling. The power and torque is also an improvement. It seemed like there was a lot of lag before but now that is all but gone. I love the bulging body panels and bumpers too. I still have a lot to get used to but I won't have any buyers remorse here.
You get huge kick going from 1st to 2nd and can feel the added power and torque. I would say go for it, for anyone on the fence.

By no means do I regret getting my Evo. I absolutely love it. I just made an observation. I'm sure if I still had my Ralliart to test both side by side I'd kick myself in the rear for ever starting this thread. It's just after driving something for a while you get used to it and get complacent.
