What do you mean "a couple thing happened to you and when you went back everything was gone"? I don't understand? Are you claiming they stole parts from you or something? Whatever happened it doesn't sound good. Haha.

FWIW, I've only heard good things from this forum about them. These are the same "E-Spec" guys right.

This forum is NOT only about allowing nice things to be said about the vendors who support the site. Members are free to post VALID complaints about vendors so they can inform other members about poor service, shady business tactics, etc, etc.

BUT, everything you state has to be factual and first-hand knowledge of what happened.

I would suggest to try to be more clear in your post about what happened. Be specific. Your first post has too many generalities and you're using the post to bash the vendor without laying out any specific facts. That is in violation of our vendor dispute process. Please read it here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ve...uidelines.html

We (as moderators) are here to help and to ensure both sides of a story are heard. We take negative claims/reviews against the vendors very seriously (both the true and the false).

Please follow the process and keep the thread on topic and only post facts. Everything will be fine if you do.

I'm guessing english is your second language but what exactly are you saying??

You brought your car there for service/tuning and they stole parts off your car?

They stole your Buschur engine?

no no no just comments I made, They install a bad turbo in my car had to buy a new one from them and get car re-tuned more money I didn't need to spend, shotty work never used lock tight or something because my exhaust bolt pushed out and we I brought it to them. I was charged 750 dollars in labor for them to just tighten bolt down well of course the next day they loosened up and had exhaust leak again. I made this coment and it was removed that's all

First of all, I've never heard of E-spec doing that. Maybe I just don't know though. I though they were a reputable tuning shop in NY.

Second, you brought a turbo to them to be installed? Or did they sell you a bad turbo? Was the turbo used? So you took a turbo to them to get installed, it was installed but the turbo was bad, and you bought a turbo from them?

Having an exhaust leak is not something that I would call a shop a "butcher" or "hackshop" over. There is no way that they would charge you $750 just to tighten a bolt.

k so this is what i gathered from his first few posts.

by robbed he's saying they overcharged him. i'm guessing he brought in a turbo he purchased prior to going to tach. They said something was wrong with it and they sold him a new one (he bit into the bs sandwich and they won). i would assume the $750 labor fee's werent just for his turn of the bolt to seal the exhaust leak... more than likely the new turbo install as well

when he mentioned his buschur parts im assuming he was giving us a quick reference to what he's got under the hood... bragging if you will.

Soooo basically this is a rant against Tach because he feels he was taken advantage of... which may very well be the case.

No speculation allowed in a thread like this. Either you have first hand knowledge or you don't. Let the OP tell his story and hopefully he is telling the truth. Then let the vendor tell their side of the story. From there everyone can believe whom they want to believe.

The op is referring to comments/remarks that were removed on this forum due to the nature of the bs he is splattering.

To make a long story short, Mike was a customer at Tach Motor Works. He road raced his car a few times per year and did very well for himself on the course. Everyone knows how much of a strain this can put on a vehicle. He had an ongoing issue with vibrations throughout the exhaust and movement in the engine bay. This caused his turbo to "rattle loose" on several occasions. The clutch was not installed at our facility, and there were loose bolts throughout the engine bay. I believe one of the engine mounts may have been damaged and could be the cause for his ongoing issue.

Mike brought his car in to us on a Friday evening around 8pm for repair with no appointment while we were closed. After begging/pleading for us to re-open, he came to an aggreement that would allow the shop to cover it's overtime expenses for the technician to complete the job. The exhaust manifold was replaced and the turbine housing was re-tapped/threaded for 4 new bolts. We suggested leaving the car there so ARP fasteners could be ordered for monday, but he insisted on having the vehicle back the same evening. We disclosed on his receipt that it was a temporary solution to his issue.... I could always post a pic of the receipt if need be?

As for his other "bad" turbo... Mike was sold a used fpRed from one of our other customers. The turbo seemed fine upon visual inspection, but after the install, we saw smoke bellowing out of the exhaust during a dyno pull. We offered a full refund for the turbo of course--and he applied his refund towards the purchase of a new fpBlack that Mike@awd so graciously overnighted to us. Needless to say, the NEW turbo was installed and tuned FREE OF CHARGE.

So in the end what we have here is a disgruntled customer who is trying his best to lie and omit truths about a situation. When a vehicle hops around from 1 shop to another, this is bound to happen. The buschur motor was suggested by us last season for the amount of road course action that this car was to see. The stock motor faired well for him racing session after session at 400+hp on pump gas. In fact the stock motor is still in tact-- up for sale correct?

I don't understand the need for your post, since you've already gotten a refund through your dispute?

I wish you the best in your endeavors for next season.

See the date on the invoice?? See how much we charged for labor/install/ and re-tune?

Here is the credit back on the turbo and balance paid for the new fpblack--- Installed and re-tuned for free...
