Blue smoke

So on the way to Costco today I see blue smoke in the exhaust as well as the usual black. The blue smoke is only produced on heavy/WOT, and disappears as soon as I let off. The car threw a cylinder 4 misfire code about 2 weeks ago. The code did not re-appear after a plug swap. So how much $ am I paying to play this time

Don't give the man a heart attack just yet

It could very well be your PCV system, which would be cheap. It could be your turbo, or rings, or valve seals. Start with checking the PCV system, then do the leak down test. If it's only at WOT and doesn't even happen every time, you've got a ways to go before things go boom. If you need any parts, let me know. We've got OEM stuff too.

And how do you check the PVC system? Never mind I found it in the service manual 17-71.

Good point. I overlooked the thought of the PCV system.

Had Ivey Tune look at it. The tests showed no problems - they changed the plugs and everything has been fine since.
