My car no longer clicks three times when I turn the key.

When I put the key in the ignition and turn it, my car used to click three times before I start the car. Recently my car stopped clicking three times before I start it. Every now and then I will hear the three clicks before I start my car, but usually I don't hear anything. Maybe once a week I'll get the three clicks.

What are those three clicks? Does anyone know why my car doesn’t click anymore? Is something broken?

I don’t have the fast key. I have the GSR basic with an old school key that you have to put in the ignition.

My car runs great and I have no issues. I'm just wondering why the clicks don't happen anymore.

Thanks

Mine still does it after 3 years and 35k miles. I thought it was the injectors or something. I'm prolly wrong though. It is either something cutting on or something running a "check" procedure.. Making sure nothing is broken.

You know that that's a pretty damn good questions. I would assume its just the starter powering up.

It's the fuel rail pressurizing. If you're not hearing that, then it's already primed.
