Shift from normal to sport

Is that I can only shift from the SST normal to sport while stopping? This is what I see from the user manual. Can I shift during driving. It is weird if I can't shift it whenever I need it during driving like passing someone or going uphill .

You can go from normal to sport on the road. You have to stop to shift into s-sport.

Why you need to use sport to climb a hill? Just downshift to 5th lol..sport can be used at any speed.

Well, I just give some examples for using the sport thing. I don't go racing, so the only chance for me to play with it are the situation that I have mentioned. But if you guys have more suggestion on how to play with it, feel free to type here. Thank you

You can use the paddles to down shift when passing or on a hill. Sport is only really useful if you want all shift points to be more aggressive. It also is supposed to improve throttle response but I haven't really noticed a difference.

I used Sport often when going at low speeds. I find otherwise the transmission jumps around across too many gears. When puttering through a parking garage or moving in stop & go traffic I find this to be the case.

I drive 100% of the time in sports full manual mode.
Normal mode = too much slip/slow changes/not as responsive.

Thanks for the tip about using S mode for stop and go. Makes perfect sense how it might smooth out the shifts when puttering compared to the super aggressive upshifting of N.

I was wondering the same thing, thanks for the info. Hopefully driving in sport in rush hour will help the constant jerky shifts of normal mode.

Still wish we could change it to S-Sport mode while on the go...
