I like to pay for quality. But I also don't like to pay for high quality price. Hence, I've bought used high quality parts.

Exhaust is exhaust. In the end, they all get close to being as straight pipe as possible. You work out the trade offs... Also wouldn't hurt to look at the cost of titanium piping material. I know there's huge margin to be made in the aftermarket business, but if you're only going for minimal margins at low volume, then what's the point?

the second link you have provided is legit... why i say this? its because my car was used to prototype the exhaust... if you want to buy this, i would go with MAP and not the one from ebay... i dont dislike ebay stuff, but if you want to buy something like exhaust, i would buy it from a reputable company... i dont know the background of such company on ebay, hence i would go with MAP and get the litespec... btw, im not getting paid to say their company or anything, but im saying it from experience.

Ive had the exhaust for more than 20K miles and its still going strong... welds you ask? still intact and no leak. its a full 3.1" all the way with very minimal bends. want to hear what it sounds like?

its not much of a drive, but you get the idea... this was taken with my iphone4

pics? installed with MXP resonated test pipe.

in any case, to the OP, good luck with whatever you go with. im happy and so's others on here that bought them.

I wish there was an ebay option for a nice 3" single or a stock-looking dual tip (no fart cans).

I had an ebay exhaust on my VIII for 3 years and was very happy with it. Guess I'll wait until more options pop for the X.

Is there a lot of drone without the cat? I don't want something that will be really loud.

Piping is piping. I ran an $82 eBay TBE on my ix for two years with no problems whatsoever. Internal moving parts are one thing, but piping is piping and there's no reason to pay 4-5 times more for a name-brand products that's going to make the same power as the cheaper one.

I thought the movie quote was for a warrenty vs no warrenty.

Im probably wrong, but.........

But.... I think its a give n take type of a situation with ebay vs non ebay items. Theres alot of companies that started out with using ebay that are acually really good.

I would be worried about fitment more than anything else.

I bought an srs exhaust for my gsx a few years back off eBay. It's was a pretty good exhaust for only 200$ never had a problem with it, also sounded pretty mean. The reason there so cheap is because by now all these ebay companies have copied other more expensive name brand parts and don't have the ability to sell something that should cost only a few hundred dollars for 1k just because its a well known brand
