They do sell two sizes of can on http://www.kellsportproducts.com/
One of their reps. told me you'll need about 4 cans.

I don't have access to a compressor either but I bought the gallon size anyway.
What you can do is buy a cheap electric sprayer with as little filiteration as possible because fluid film is very thick. If the electric sprayer can't handle it, you'll need to thin it out and the ONLY thing you can use do that is Vegetable oil.

My Evo gets rust-proofed every year with RustCheck. I'm actually surprised at the number of people who don't know about rust-proofing or don't have it done on their car.

Phenomenalz- thanks for the info!

For $11/each and needing four cars coming out to $44

Isn't it cheaper just to go to the auto-store and get the regular under-coating spray($6 a can) and spray that every year??

check out post 35. Canadian army did a test on anti-rust coating and ACF-50 lead the study. WD-40 did pretty well too surprisingly.

I did this on my VIII....hopefully when we get some better weather I can hook up the X. A good powerwashing on the undercarriage is a must before doing this, you don't want to trap salt inbetween the coats and the metal, it defeats the purpose.......

I bought a custom undercoating kit from them for $75 it came with a gallon, (4) 11.75oz cans, an extension nozzle wand for the cans, and a plastic container with a brush for small spots. It maybe cheaper to buy auto part store undercoating but I wanted peace of mind so I choose a product not based on price but reputation and performance.

I'm sure rustproofing is a good idea, but always wondered..

why does the owner's manual specifically state NOT to apply any rustproofing treatments to the undercarriage?

I know we have a 7-year/100k-mile anti-corrosion warranty.. would that cover just about anything that gets wrecked by road salt, or just certain things?

The stock anti corrosion is USELESS.

I fought tooth and nail with Mitsu on my VIII, and they will ONLY cover anything under warranty if it is FULL perforation. My trunk lid was destroyed under the spoiler but since it was perforated yet, they wouldn't touch it.

Mitsubishi warranty is terrible, I'm sorry. Either take the steps to protect the car yourself, or just sell it after a few years before it gets bad.
