How responsive is the shifting in your MR? Do you miss the manual /at all/?

I do not miss the stick one bit. Took about 2-3 days to adjust my mind from shifting but I use the SST shifter and paddles a lot. Only really drive in auto when I get into traffic. That's the real nice part of it for me. The SST is smooth and shifts fast as hell. It's nice know there are so many ways to drive the car now unlike with my old GSR. Gotta love options.

Does the computer ever "override" your decision to shift? I've driven cars where if I try to downshift at an "inconvenient" time, it will just ignore my press of the button. Have you encountered that with the SST yet? Thanks!

Never had the "override" issue with my MR. It will hold the gear and let you redline to your heart's content. It will not, on the other hand, let you downshift if it knows the revs will be beyond rev limit. Your get the angry "two beeps".

I love my GSR but now you're giving me second thoughts lol I remember how "badass" it was to swap gears with them little paddles in the RA... Dammm... should I really go in and trade my 6 months old '11 for a '12 MR?

Ride looks awesome... u gonna debadge!?

you should, sooo much convenience w/the SST, especially when you have another 6speed sitting in the driveway when your feeling traditional/ol' skool. But the truth is a stick will never beat a computer...raced in japan long enough to know!
