guess not... anyways its a pretty nice write up about tastefully modding the X and keeping it a daily driver. Everyone should check it out.

Just got this the other day. The evo looks great. I'm curious though, what color is this on your Evo? Looks like Electric Blue from the 9s.

Heres something you dont see with most of these "cover cars" .... track days...

My 6 year old yelling at me for driving too fast...

Car getting prepped for the photoshoot...

And someone made this... dont know who...
This is my "track team" Alliance Motorsports (Alliancemotorsportsusa.com/main)

Great article! Seeing your cover made me finally break down and get a subscription but I actually had to buy this issue at the newsstand.

What's with the color? I too am interested since it doesn't QUITE look like OBP.

Its still Octane Blue... I was one of the first to find out that the OEM rubber strips tear off and mine took the original lip with it. Its been touched up here and there from combat but its 99% OB original...
Most of its lighting though.. like this...

I too would rather have had a IX, but finding a clean and unabused one would be nearly impossible. The X just looks amazing, though...IMO truly beautiful (but hefty). I do the turn and look every time I walk away.

I wouldnt say I would rather have a IX... I just wish I had kept it so I had BOTH.... I might get another one... who knows... I picked up a 91 LX 5.0 for a new toy... But you can never have enough cars...

Sometimes I think I've should have gotten the IX instead of a X.

Then I talk to guys that jumped from the IX to the X and they say they love the X much better than there IX.

The IX was more "raw" and felt more natural when I threw it around.... Theres an onramp by my old pad and I could hit it at triple the speed..(75 instead of 25) and cut hard, dig the pedal and smoke all 4 tires going up it as it transitioned to the freeway... it felt like a fist fight, where the X could do the same thing but it felt more like a slow dance, smooth and controlled...

The IX is like having sex with Fergie and the X is making love to Jessica Alba... you would do em both but whether you want it dirty or not is the question....
