AMS Testpipe/exhaust question

I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on the complete AMS exhaust kit on their site. I've heard people complain about rattling when it comes to the test pipe but I've also seen people that say they have the whole TBE (widemouth and single exit catback) and have no rattling. I'm thinking maybe the AMS widemouth comes down in a way that angles the AMS testpipe away from the drive shaft?

Can somebody with a full AMS exhaust chime in please.

I've seen that already. Hence why I want someone with an AMS system to chime in.
Thanks

I have it and don't notice a rattle. I don't have a muffler or resonator either so mostly I can't hear anything over the din of the motor and exhaust and anyone next to the car screaming for me to turn it off...

Me? Well I was just kidding really. As it is a race car only it has no interior, no rear seats, no muffler, no resonator, no damping, no headliner, a full cage and a full 3" exhaust all the way through from the FP Red on back. I'd say the drone is spectacular!!

Car's not street legal so I can't really say what it would be like at low throttle on the freeway. I'm pretty sure the state police would be on me long before I could get to the freeway and try...

First i got the AMS Single exhaust and loved it a little over a year ago. The sound was amazing and got nothing but complements. Over this summer i got the AMS test pipe and fell in love even more with the sound and it sounds amazing. Yes it does have a drone but nothing to major. You always going to have a drone basically with any exhaust you go with. Unfortunately idk if i got unlucky or what but i do have a rattle. At first i broke the hanger bolt for the test pipe and the rattle was very noticable with the hanger being there. I went to the hardware store and purchased another bolt and hooked up the hanger and the rattle basically went away. I cannot hear it on open roads anymore. Needless to say I am very please with the extra hp/sound it gives as well as the sound. I raced my friends stock evo and his friends in the car said "your car just sounds sick". If I was you i would pull the trigger and get it. I am taking my car in for the 30k tune up and I am going to see if they see what the exhaust could be rattling on. Some ppl say the dp moves when uninstalling the cat and needs to be put back in place. I tried it but didn't work buit then again im not a mechanic.

I also am going to be purchasing the widemouth but i heard not to even touch that until you go larger turbo because its a pita to get to. Idk we will see

We just had an Evo X come in with our full turbo-back exhaust system with test pipe. I wanted to post pictures showing the clearance it has around the driveshaft and mounts. With the exhaust hangers correctly installed, the exhaust is very solid and does not move. There is also no points of contact with the driveshaft or driveshaft mounts as you can see from the pictures below.

AMS Frontmount crew

I'm sure they'll fix up the issues, they were one of the very first companies to even give us X owners some aftermarket options in the first place
