Seems Sluggish after ETS intake and Hard pipe Kit

I installed the kits this past weekend and the car doesn't seem to pull as hard as factory. I'm new to the Evo is this a normal feel until tuned? Does the ECU need to learn and compensate for the increased air? Thanks for any help that can be given

Definitely check for leaks then get a tune. Those are proven quality parts. Good luck.

Whats the best way to check for boost leaks? Everything looks good and there is no openings in between the pipe and couplings

Just go over everything again, make sure all the piping and couplers arre very snug, also make sure the clamps are tight. I have the ETS UICP and after letting the dealer do some recall work they didn't have it completely tight enough and I could tell I was down on power.

When you grab the UICP you should barely be able to move it around, that is when it is tight enough. If it has lots of play, recheck the couplers and clamps.

Looked over everything and everything is snug and tight. If there was a boost leak would the car go into limp mode or a code show up?

Grab some soapy water and lather up all the pipes. Where you see bubbles is where there is a leak.

*Tip, Clean all connections incl silicone couplers with soapy water and a lint free cloth.
after install.. go over all the joints again and tighten up all the bolts after a test drive when the connections are warm. if you still have a leak after that make sure there are no bottomed out Tbolts like on the cobb kit.

this is what a bottomed out Tbolt looks like .. this joint leaked in cold weather but was fine in warm weather

Just checked for boost leaks none found, but did find that the pcv valve rubber tubing was bent. Could this have been the problem?

Maybe disconnect the battery or unplug the ECU, so the ECU resets itself?

Check the Fuel Pressure Regulator hose maybe you knocked it off or it popped off. There is a sticky about it since it's a common problem.

I stuck a UICP on last Friday and noticed that when I took it for a first drive, there was a big sluggish spot like you described, but only on the test drive.

I let it warm up the next morning and it drove just as it had the day before. Later that day it went to English and got tuned, with no issues to 25psi.

I checked the that FPR line and its fine but zip tied it. I got a new MAF housing since it was slightly damaged from the dealer but they wouldn't fix after I noticed it. They said I did it after buying the car.
