Agreed.

Accidents happen. It's a rare event that a biker hits a car with enough force to do that kind of damage to a car and lives to tell about it, much less comes out of it okay. I'm glad that this was the case here. Cars and bikes can be repaired or replaced. To DiLuong - wanting someone to die because he hit a car you like its insane. Even if it was simply a sarcastic comment (and I really hope it was)... Where's your head at?

Dang didn't know motorcycles could do that much damage. Glad to hear you're both alright. Hope things end well with the evo!

I'm no expert but suspect that, with you being the one moving into his lane, you might be held more responsible for the accident. That is to say that your insurance company will be paying a larger portion of the claim then the motorcyclist's insurance company. What that split turns out to be is up to the insurance companies. With no other witnesses the insurance companies will, I believe, just rely on the data from the scene, damage, and statements made by the two of you. Nice that there was no ticket involved, as that just makes the insurance company deliberations a little clearer.

Best news is that you are both still alive.

In my opinion, if the Evo is totaled, is that take it to a good frame shop and see if they can get it straight. Buy it as a salvage and then turn it into a track car only. No insurance to consider and we are all going in the same direction.

I just spoke with the agent and he said they might declare it a total so i might be without an evo for a few months. But since that was the case, should i get another WW or get a different color? I was thinking of OB or PB but i'm not quite sure.

I own a shop in the LA area. I am not trying to solicit the job from you. But there are a few thing you should know about the repair process, and the procedures that follow in the event of a total. If you have any questions, PM me and I would be happy to explain them to you. Just trying to help a fellow member out.
