Front seat replacement options?

I just bought my X 2 days ago and I don't really like the factory front seats at all, they're pretty uncomfortable for my liking and my size. I'm not willing to dish out money for Bride or whatever ultra racing seats, but does anyone have any other suggestions for something a little more comfortable while retaining the bucket look? My IX leather seats were great, i never had any issues with them. I am considering getting the front seats wrapped in leather, but i'm not sure that will address the comfort issue.

If you are going to go the leather wrapping route, you can have them add extra padding in there while you are at it, and that might help.

My biggest knock with seat is the width, the plastic sides hit my sides (yeah i'm a little large around the mid-drift lol)...i'm hoping some extra padding while getting them wrapped in leather will do the trick.

During my test drive I ran into the same issue as I am a bit larger too. I don't mind but thats cause my driving style is sharp fast cornering and in my current car I slide around more than I like. I am sure it will wear in, but adding more padding should make it more comfortable.

I don't know if it's in my head, but the seats felt much more comfortable on my way home from work today. I definitely want to reupholster my seats with leather, so maybe that will had some comfort.

The problem with me is that the seats are too low to the ground for my liking. I wish there was a way to bolster them up, but they only recline and move forwards and backwards. I read around the forums and you have to buy some hardware fasteners to elevate the seats. Well I felt this way when I got it initially, but now after 3 weeks I think I have gotten used to it!

Check out my thread about cloth to leather https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...h-leather.html

Getting that done this week and will post pics of the seats all leathered up

If it's simply about the thigh bolsters being too snug, it's possible to bend them outwards. I did it and it's a huge difference.

How did you bend them outwards? What did you use?

Im already past that stage. Im almost 400lbs. These seats suck for me. I sit on pillows so they dont cut into my legs as bad.

My wife is 5'2" 130lbs and she hates the seats. They feel to small to here.

Mine were pretty snug when I first got the car as well. It took a couple months of breaking them in but they fit like a glove now. I have the OEM leathers btw, which makes a world of a difference over the cloth IMO.
