How often do you wash/vacuum your car?
During the summer I try to give it a quick wash-down/rinse once a week to keep the dust off since it shows up so well on my TB. I try to keep the inside as clean as possible on a daily basis, but Ill vacuum it once a week in the summer. Complete detail with a clay bar and wax once a month.
In the winter all bets are off - I have to cater to the weather. But I always always always at least rinse off the salt after a storm.

The washing process is simplified on an order of magnitude by having a slick car. You may want to take some time and go though the tutorials link'd below, then stop by the detailing forum if you have questions:

I am lucky to have a detailer in the parking structure where I park for work. So I drop it off with him once a week and he does it while I work and is done by lunch. I usually wax it myself because I don't trust them on that part. Probably use a spray wax and I wouldn't know it.
I've done a very basic wash almost weekly at the moment but the norm would be bi-weekly. hose + bucket + soap.
interior, maybe monthly and vacuum maybe once every 2 months but i keep the inside very clean. while filling up gas i shake out my floor mats and typically have a fresh microfiber cloth to keep things dust free.

I can't remember exactly. I know the one I have at sucks and the one we have at work is awesome and I use it all the time. I've never done any damage whatsoever on any car that the paint wasn't already flaking off on. The one we have at work I can put the tip on the paint and it still won't damage it. The one we have at work costs well over $1000 new, not really worth it for just washing cars at home. A simple 2 bucket method, a hose, and a shaded area will be more than enough in most cases.
