I have an 08 GSR and was looking between these two bov's. Which would you recommend and why. Looking for some input from the guys who run these. Thanks.

I have the synapse, it is not loud, but I hope that's not what you're going for. It is very easy to install and a very well made product. I definitely recommend it.

Do you have the bov or the dv? Are you running it recirculated?

Kracka, I'm getting an E-Tune soon and was considering upgrading my bov so that i don't have any issues with the stock bov. Going to run it recirc. I keep reading about the Synapse fluttering/surging at part throttle. Is this pretty standard or do you know if this can be prevented with proper install and adjusting the pre-load/spring?

Thanks in advance

i have the tial and love it. As long as you run it with the -6psi spring, you wont have any issues.

Love my Synapse on my IX. Adjust it properly and you shouldn't have any surging.

I believe Mil.Spec sells a slightly softer spring for the Synapse DV that helps, but I personally have Cobb's and really like it. Been great to me for DD street use for about 27k miles now.

I've had the TiAL Q on a previous car and loved it. No surge, not too loud/not too quiet. Mostly all the high powered Supra's are running them with no issues. NRE is running the TiAL BOV on all of their +1,500HP motors with no issues.

Look at the Turbosmart. I am getting this at the recommendation of my parts guy, they are ver compatible with the Evo.

I have the synapse currently. If I ever purchase a new blow off valve it will be the tial q.

in terms of sound, which one blow louder?
Synapse DV or Synapse BOV?

nothing wrong with my Cobb BPV, but after upgrading to FP Red, I kinda can't hear it blowing due to the engine/exhaust sound. Cobb checked my BPV and everything is working well, no leaking.

I just want to hear louder blow, and strong BOV to hold the boost.
