RPM hanging after WOT

I am having a possible issue with one of my Evo Xs. After WOT the RPMs hang for a while after I push in the clutch. They don't drop right away like my other X. I don't know why this is happening and didn't know if this is a problem that I should be worried about.

'08 X, 80k miles, all stock with AEM intake.

Thanks for the help.

Sounds about normal to me.. What is "your other X"? And the stock '08 tune kinda sucks, so that doesn't help..

My other X is also an 08. But only 8k miles and bolt-ons/ tune. My weekend car. That makes sense, maybe I will just have to tune that one as well...

Mine hangs as well. It took me a awhile to get use to it. Im so use to giving a car gas right as I switch gears because the rpms's would drop. When I first started driving the Evo I would burn the clutch a little because I would give it gas right after switching gears but since the RPM's hang it would ride the clutch a little. I've now grown use to letting off the gas, switching gears, releasing the clutch, then easing into some gas.

Mine hangs as well. Was definitely not use to it coming from an VIII but came to find out that it was normal on the X's (at least that's what the dealer tech said). I read somewhere that a tune helps get rid of the rpm hang so that's actually next on my agenda here in the next couple weeks.

tuners are able to eliminate that by altering your IAC tables in your rom
