Ac compressor keeps seizing at wot or high rpm
Ok guys I really need help . My ac compressor keeps seizing after a big wot test ! After about 8k . Or so . Or just a lot of pulls . It my third one and I can't figure it out . I don't have my ac on while I'm doing this . I bought a new gate serpentine belt with every ac compressor oem. So idk . Bad tensioner or pulleys perhaps ? But they seem fine
Damn no body's,

If the A/C is not on then the compressor shouldn't be running. The only way for the compressor to run if the clutch is deenergized if for the bearing in the clutch to fail. With enough wobble in the pulley maybe the compressor would run. So, my guess (only a guess) is that you are buying compressors with bad bearings. I imagine if the bearing fails while the engine is pulling 8K and the compressor suddenly starts running, the compressor is not going to be happy.

the a/c compressor will run if the heater is on defrost as well. i would unplug the compressor and give it a shot for heck of it and see what happens. also with the serp belt off , all the pulled and tensioner move and spin freely?
Well the compressor is aeized now
buying a new one tomorrow .
