I've seen alot of pricing on here for the GSR models for mid to low 30s, but not for MR with these packages on it.

Searching autotrader, $43 OTD seems on par with everyone else who is asking $40 with everything else on top.

actually $43k isnt bad for a 2012 with the extras they come with over the 2010 MR Touring i bought in DEC 2010. I paid $42k for mine plus i traded my 1998 ford contour which was $2k then a down payment of $2K so ended up financing about $38k. Also mine was loaded since everything was std then except for Navi.

You're getting a lot more sound dampening because of the touring package. That's part of what comes with it!

43k including TTL isn't bad. You might be able to get them to move to like 42.5 if they store negotiates. But it's still not a bad offer. We have one on our lot similarly equipped for 39,999 +TTL (would be about 43k).

Tell the dealer all you have is $38,500.00. They will do it!

As a base price for the car? Yeah, 38.5 would be acceptable to most negotiating stores. Out the door for 38.5? yeah right.

45k for a midsu. Just couldnt get myself to pay that much for one.. BMW's M1, 335's , 135, Audi S4, c6 z06 "used" ect not worth 45k IMO

Exactly. Plus, he's trading in. Dealerships are willing to cut crazy deals for people who have money ready to go. If you show up to a dealership with cash, you will walk away with a better deal than someone that came in to trade. Unless you are offering them a killer trade they know they can offload easy for much more than they are giving you for it. At that point though, you are still losing money.

I have a 680rwhp 706rwtq Ford Lightning and a Cobra with about 500 to the wheels, so I don't plan on modding this thing much past stock. Maintaining DD characteristics and sound qualities is what I'm going for with an EVO. Getting out of the truck... anything seems slow, lol

I'm really looking for something that I can bob and weave through some spirited turns and get me back and forth to school and work.
What do you have done to your Lightning? I just sold my 04 Cobra Vert. It made right around 500 to the wheels as well. With a fresh set of NT05DR's, that thing hooked pretty good. I got pulled a little bit by my brother's bone stock C6 Z06 though.

I say the price is right... RC Hill has a fully-loaded MR Touring for 41k... out the door I'd say you'll be paying 44k if you manage to drop that price to around 41k if the car you saw is fully loaded

http://www.rchillmitsubishi.com/new-...&SBprice=clear

5LEEPERISAH23I, I don't really see why a 335i is worth its 40k while a fully loaded MR is not...

Anything a 335i does or comes with that a fully loaded MR wouldn't have or do? besides the BMW brand badge or besides the fact that everyone and their grandma has one?

Eh, admitting long years of Mustang loathing before my post even gets going, don't let modding an Evo scare you.

680whp might be a fast truck in a straight line, but it's a 4600 pound un-aerodynamic Borg cube that handles, well, like a truck. I live in the SE USA too, so I've been pony car and trucked to death my entire life. I want a car that can handle as well as go fast in a straight line.

To me, an Evo will get you a lot further in that quest than an STI. A couple buddies have 600+whp Evos locally on E85 on a Mustang dyno, and that moves a 3200 pound car down the road pretty quickly with AWD traction. If you like Detroit muscle as well as Japanese cars, the MR might be the right car for you. But if you think you might ever get tempted to make good horsepower, look at a GSR or I'd daresay even an Evo IX.

My X is quiet and pretty mild at 422whp (vd1.09), and has total daily drivability characteristics. It's a GSR, but you can get that out of an MR without any trouble too with a stock frame based aftermarket turbo.

Sorry about the Ford hate, it wasn't intended as such, it's just not my bag. I wish you the best with whatever you get!

Not sure where you got this idea from. Whether the store negotiates or is a best price store, both get paid more when you finance a car through one of our banks. We always encourage people finance. More often that not, we can get you a better rate than if you walk in to your bank. On top of that, the banks pay us for brokering the loan. Cash deals are worse for dealers.

I did the exact opposite... I missed the 5 speed manual so I went from Evo X MR to Evo X GSR recently.

Not much on the truck that is stock. It has a built aluminum shortblock out of a 2011 GT500 and headwork all done by JDM. Whipple 2.3, revamped aeromotive fuel system & fuel cell, and a **** ton other stuff. Pulls like a rocket! I have some videos on youtube, but nothing at the current power level. Only running 12* timing at 15psi for over 600 to the wheels

4300 pound brick thank you very much! hahaha yeah it used to be a pig, but with the suspension and weight savings, it handles like a champ for a truck.

I'll just be keeping it stockish. Not trying to break any records with it.

I have actually heard this a few times, but I completely forgot. My apologies. I actually try not to finance through the dealership because they rarely can beat my credit unions' rates (1.99% for 61-72 months right now). I know they get kick backs from the bank though when they get customers to finance through them.

Can't an average person just say they are going to finance through the dealership, which in turn will help them get the lowest price possible. And then just make something up about the dealerships financing and pay with your own cash/financing for the price you have agreed?
