A question for all MR owners
I am a gsr owner and sometimes i kinda wonder if i should have gotten the mr. When in got the evo, it was not intended to be a daily( have 2 other car), so that is why i got the stick, its more fun. Now that my civic is gone i drve the evo more. Pta when Im stuck in traffic. Thats why sometimes i think of the sst mr. As for the sti, i kinda like the styling of the sedan, not the hatch. But choosing between the two, evo all the way. I think sti is given to have a "softer" look than the evo. Evo , whether its a 6,8,9 or the x are aggressively styled.
I am going to need you guys to man up! Real men, real car loving men don't whine about pushing a little clutch in during traffic situation. We just do it, because it is right. Automatic? Two hands on the wheel at all times? Come on! One hand on the wheel and one hand on the shifter. That's how the mens do it!!!
Ok, in real life situation I would say this with a straight face to see the reaction I would get. But since this online and in the past the serious sarcastic stuff has blown up on me in the online world, I am playing guys. The MR has an awesome trans. I test drove one and was shocked. Ended up going with the GSR maybe because I am older and stuck in the days that a sports car is a manual. I don't mind the pain during freeway traffic. Pain lets you know you are still alive.

And I read that as well. You just don't hang on to it as tight. Keep a lose grip on your shifter.

Mitsu's owners manual says to "take your hands off the shifter as it could damage [some crap forgot what it is] and that it is not a hand rest..." so Mitsu disagrees with you
i find that i drive my mr in super sport manual 90% of the time. you feel like its still a manual and the fact if blips the rpms as you down shift while going in to a corner makes you sound like a pro. and when that Porsche boxer pulls up next to you.. slip it in to auto to use launch control blow past him then go back in to manual with a grin on your face. over all the sst is great for day to day and the track. before this car i said id never drive an auto.. look at me now.
Hell no. Mitsu looks better, handles better, is quicker, responds better to mods....it's a non issue. Subaru's sound better but that's it.
Also: the ringlands issue is almost 100% due to bad tunes. Buddy of mine works for Subaru and said every single one he's seen was the fault of a bad tune.

No disrespect to the Subie because I do like and respect them, but I am an evo guy through and through so hell to the no. (this is coke and Pepsi IMO)
PS... Note to the overcompensation crowd that need to take any opportunity to remind the world that real men drive a "real" manual (as if anyone on here doesn't know how to drive a stick and hasn't owned them in the past. Lol)... Part of being a real man is not feeling the need to endlessly validate to people that you are a real man. Anyone who drives a sequential has moved past thinking that a transmission defines their "manhood" (in other words, has grown up)
