Mods and the Police
In California if u don't get pulled over for speed they can't ask you to pop the hood .
if your car is smoking white or black they will ask you to pop the hood.
thats the reason i didnt TINT my car just to not giving them any attencion to COPS.
now this day Cali Cops they know lot of the cars ( Hondas they know what to check )
Ic Pipes : Black Color
Intake System : look for AEM first if u can take a risk later go for AMS
Catback : try to get a Stock looking system ( i love my RRE Single Black Color )
Cops they looks for Polish or Colored parts first
good luck bro!

Like I said, you can have you're hood popped for any reason, not just speed. Mine was no front license plate. All they have to say is your exhaust didn't sounds stock. Cali cops will get ya
From what I've experienced with this car and past ones is if you're honest with the mods you tell them when they ask they let you go.
been pulled over like 10+ times and a front plate ticket is all I've got

This is what sucks about maturing. When I was in my 20's I didn't worry about this stuff. F the police was my motto. Now that I am older I guess I have more to lose I gotta be controlled by the police state. So stealth it is. But I am not putting my front plate on!!!!!!! Actually I am not putting my back one on either. My last car I went two years before getting pulled over for the rear plate. Still have to be a little rebellious, right? I have actually never gotten pulled over for no front plate and I have never in my 20 something years driving had one.
Not having a front plate on a tuner car is a recipe for disaster in CA. I had the plates on my old FD, and never had a problem despite the fact it wasn't at all CARB legal. I've heard the horror stories, never experienced them or know anybody that has.
You should keep your engine bay stealth and have the appropriate carb stickers for your non stealth parts.
Another thing that you REALLY, REALLY need to watch out for is smog checkpoints.. Just like DUI checkpoints but they will stick a sniffer in your tail pipe and can possibly tow your ride away if they deem necessary.

I'm from Cali and iv never heard of this but I do believe it is possaible it wouldn't surprise me. Honstly here in Cali it comes down to we're your at whole your driving and how your driving. Iv never been pulled over because I have never gave them a reason but they have eye f*ck the sh*t out of me and my car while just passing by.

As for rear plate...you will just be asking to get pulled over. We have way to many car thefts here. They will pull you over everytime they see a car with no rear plate.
A year or so ago I went into a local bar (Cincinnati) to pick up a friend at around 10pm. When I came out 30 minutes later with my friend there were two cops standing next to my Evo with their flashlights checking my car. At first I thought they were investigating a crime then I thought my car "was" the crime. Turns out they were having an argument to my cars true potential. I was shocked. We ended up having a pretty friendly discussion talking cars. I popped the hood. They took cell phone pictures on the engine. Then they basically said have a nice night and let me and my friend drive away.
LoL where did you hear this? Sorry but you are wrong! Per California Vehicle Codes 2804 & 2806 Da Popo can ask nicely or order you to pop your hood. Typically if you were not doing something crazy, own your trash by not arguing or being disrespectful they will cite you for the violation at hand. When you are hanging out with a large group of import cars, muscle cars orExotics and there have been several reports of street racing, wreckless driving or exhibition of speed at a certain location all the time or at that specific day it will prob involve looking at your vehicle a little closer. Its just not just imports, this happens with Vettes, Stangs and Exotic also!
I got pulled over 3 times last year in my old VIII loud as hell exhaust with turbo back, test pipe and and 4" grapefruit shooter O2 housing etc lope from cams 92db at idle. No cop ever said anything about it I got one ticket for speeding 56 in a 40. Another pull over for speeding but no ticket, and the 3rd for no front plate also no ticket. Lots of stares and follows but no hassles. Two things I think always help me:
1) I'm always polite and respectful and keep my hands on the top of steering wheel.
2) I have a CHL so cops know I've been vetted, background checked and so on.
I have a pretty crappy driving record but nothing serious 10+ or so tickets in 14 years of driving. Couple at fault accidents etc. I'd guess I've been pulled over 50 times in 14 years usually end up having a conversation about something else from cars to sports or weather. Sometimes you have to take a condecending lecture but it's cheaper than a ticket. Yes officer, no officer, sorry officer polite respect goes a long way.
