What is this?

Ok so I am trying to figure this one out and I am stumped. I drive my car normally, and the rpm will go up by about 1000 every time I give it any sort of pedal. Doesn't matter what speed or gear it's basically as if you were riding the clutch. But it happens even if you are doing 65 mph and accelerate using the cruise control buttons. Is this clutch or ECM/timing? I have no clue. Also there is no CEL.

I was going with clutch but it seems odd that I have no other issues outside of that, shifts fine etc. Oh well I need to upgrade any way since I am going to mod it here this week.

Yea sounds like a slipping clutch. It's like the rpms are shooting up but the car isn't really accelerating and then the rpms drop back down and the car accelerates like normal? If so DEFINITELY a new clutch is in your future. How many miles do you have?

Clutch for sure. If you want to test it again, go about 65 on the freeway and leave it in 5th. Floor is and see if it slips when boost comes in.

^ I agree that's how I knew it was starting to slip and I also noticed a difference when and where my clutch would engage.
