Im coming from an Ultimate Racing Dual exit exhaust and it was painfully loud and it rattled my interior. I don't mind a strong deep sound as long as you are able to hear people speak in the cabin under cruising/DD conditions.

I have a lite spec with mil spec HFC and stock down pipe. I set off one of the car alarms in my apt building garage every time I drive by it. My wife says its too loud and hates to ride in the car (an added bonus). All that being said. I think it sounds good and I have the rear seat and all the trunk stuff pulled. The only time it bothers me is a few hours into a long drive since I drive the car several hours one way to race it.

Edit: For reference, I thought stock was unbelievably quiet.
You and me both. Stock was unbearably quiet for me.

don't get a silencer.. they add restrictions and negatively affects your overall performance

You're in for a surprise... Fully open Tomei (at least in Dr1fter's car) is "all-out rattle box cabin loud"

It's a cop magnet here in Miami

And as far as rattling... the Evo is a rattlebox to begin with.. they always have and always will be. You can help negate this by following the sticky thread about removing rattle.

Loudness is relative. Asking this question is like asking if a food is too spicy.

My neighbors can hear me coming from a few blocks away, while inside their houses, and that's not at WOT.

I guess it's relative to one's hearing abilities lol... cause loud is loud no matter what

I can hear Dr1fter's car from many, many blocks away lol... that sh*ts loud

Yes, relative to hearing ability, but more importantly relative to references.

If you eat a jalepeno pepper without ever knowing that a habenero or indian ghost pepper existed then you'd think that was the hottest pepper ever. Once you introduce the other two the way you scale spiciness changes, and jalepenos are no longer that spicy in comparison.

Likewise, if you come across a Mustang that is fully modded you won't think any Evo is loud compared to it.
