rusty screws between midpipe and cat

im trying to change my exhaust, and ive gotten everything off except the two screws from the midpipe to the cats. the car was bought in july 2011, and the screws are rusty. i cant get any real leverage either because i dont have lift so the car is on ramps. any idea what i can do to get these screws off. ive tried wd 40 and all that, they just wont budge.

thanks

edit: i dont know why the font came out so big lol..

Cut them or grind the heads off.

Nope. They're toast. You'll be putting in new ones.

ps. they're bolts, not screws

im putting in the ets v2 extreme, i got the bolts off, and now it seems that the exhaust just doesnt fit, the cats have that heatshield around it so it doesnt fit into that. any idea of what i can do? and the gasket that ets provided doesnt fit into the cats opening to connect it to the midpipe

Edit: Problem solved. i got it on. Close the thread..

it should fit, i remember having to play around with mine a little before it would match up (also hav the v2). the key is when u start to tighten the bolts the cat and mid pipe will be pulled together for better fitment. also next time ur working under the car on somethin like that.. try putting the car on a couple jackstands, make sure its pretty high and take a breaker bar to the bolts after using some pb blaster or wd40. makes life so much easier.

i finally got it, but honestly it wasnt a perfect fitment, i had to trim some of the heatshield on the cat because it just wouldnt fit any other way. the gasket ETS sent me didnt fit or align correctly with the holes either so i ended up using the stock gasket, i dont think it makes much of a difference i think. also i dont have any jack stands, i only have ramps so it gives me about a foot or so under the car. not very much but it does the job i guess.

One option would be to cut off the lip of the heat shield so the flanges will meet. Another would be to get a test or high flow cat pipe. Maybe the head shield can be removed, I don't recall as my MagnaFlow mated fine.

that sucks, at least u got it done tho. btw autozone or any place like that has packages for jack stands and jacks, stuff like that. cant remember exact prices, but its not that expensive.. when u go to throw on a test pipe or downpipe itll save u a huge headache and u DONT need a lift to do either
