new car has a few problems. They seem like easy fixes...

just picked up this nicely modded 08 today after hours of haggling with a dealership. I got it for a really good price because its having some issues...

it was tuned by AMS january 1st... and somehow now its having a problem idling and stalling. I just semi cold-started the car and it fired up great, then stuck right around 1100 RPM with NO troubles.

After I reverse for a few feet and put the clutch in, the RPM drops and fights to stay running. It continues this behavior at every stop. AFR's stick around 16-17 when its almost stalling, and it eventually catches up with the 02 sensor and hovers around 14.7 like it should.

im wondering if its a leak of some sort or if I'm on an e85 map. Paperwork suggests a dual map tune but Im having no luck getting the dash to do anything when I keep the gas pedal floored while the key is on, suggesting it is not switching.

I had a couple used relays in my glovebox with the car. There is also a button rigged into fuse panel cover near the steering wheel that is wired into the LC-1 wideband, with a light. Im guessing this is to re-calibrate it?

thanks guys

get it towed to a local tuner and start from scratch... it'd suck to destroy that engine trying to drive it on a bad tune or on the wrong map with the wrong fuel man

yeah, but i think its fine to drive easy on right now. the wideband only shows those crazy leans during the stalling issue. everything else is within range or a little rich.

This. AMS should be able to help you. Explain your situation. It might require that you send your ECU in or something but that's better then ruining the car. Your call though.

Well today I unplugged the MAF while the car was running, then plugged it back in and now the issue is GONE

Very happy right now. Tomorrow I'm picking up my openport that's 45min away with my other car. The idle sucks when the ac is on, but I'm content I can fix that myself
