what are the differences between the evo and ralliart
Does anyone know the difference between the EVO and the ralliart?Would it be possible to bolt on a set brakes from an EVO on a ralliart? Is the mastercylinder the same, perportioning. Valve the same? Other differences? I have a 2011 ralliart and can pickup a set of brakes from a wrecked Evo,its a 2010.
You need to do more research on the ABS, ABS controller, master cylinder, brake lines, bias. It can probably be done and maybe the ABS and the rest will be just fine, but you need to verify.
^^^No. It's not just wheel size. It's wheel offset too. The stock Evo offset is +38, but depending on the wheel design, you might need around a +25 offset to make sure it clears without spacers. But then your car might look stupid since the Ralliart doesn't have the flared fenders like an Evo.
I would think all the ABS stuff would be different too but I'm not sure. And I don't think it will just bolt on since I would think the ralliart would have different mounting spots for the calipers( like where the caliper actually bolts to the car. The Evo should be wider to compensate for the bigger brakes.) just guessing tho..

The Ralliart uses portions of the Evo 9 drive train while the X uses a new one that incorporates the active yaw control. I don't know if its a straight bolt on for the Evo brembos but I would imagine there's some type of modifications needed. I do know there are after market BBK brake kits out there though for the Ralliart. The Evo has a bigger twin scroll turbo and a bigger intercooler while the Ralliart only has a single scroll with a smaller intercooler. The ride quality is different as well. The Evo is a bit stiffer and rougher while the Ralliart is softer and more inline with the regular lancer.
I'm sure there's things that I'm missing but those are what come to mind off the top of my head. Hope this helps you out.

Listen my friend dont waste your time with stuff like that, spend your money on something else and if you want to upgrade your brakes upgrade with what fits your car and made for it.
Yeah... What's been said already. Evo X brakes don't fit the Ralliart.
Front suspension on the Ralliart is totally different than the Evo X, and the mounting points for the calipers are different. People have been trying to make the Evo X brakes fit the Ralliart for quite some time. Some have done it, but it takes a lot of work. There are better options out there.
Are you looking for all the differences, or just the brakes?
Smaller turbo, smaller intercooler, smaller intercooler piping, brakes, suspension, no s-sport mode, ECU tune, battery in engine bay, intake box, and probably a few others I can't pull from the mush that is my brain at midnight.
Only real difference in the engine is the spark plugs though.

Here's the highlights:
Super all wheel control (Evo has it, RA doesn't)
Brembos (Evo has them)
Struts
Recaros (You can get them on the RA as an option, but not by default)
Different FMIC's (RA is smaller)
Different BOVs (the RA's is plastic)
SST Twin Clutch VS GSR (the twin clutches, even on the MRs over heat easily around 400WHP and require a new clutch pack or tranny cooler)
Evo's Wider stance over the rear wheels
Different front facia
Trunk space (the RA has one, the Evo does not! lol)
Turbos (RA single scroll VS Evo twin scroll)
Rims - Both are 18's but not the same rims.

Just wanted to say thanks for the replies, all very good info. And points well taken but I had to ask with all those parts just sitting there. Well maybe the seats will fit without much effort.
If you're thinking about getting a ralliart and trying to make it like an evo... just spend the extra on the evo.
I knew a guy who put so much dough into his ralliart to make it like an Evo... and I'm talking money that would have bought him a premium MR... he still couldn't compete against a stock Evo x...
