Well dang. Couldn't the forum member you bought it from just charged you a couple bucks more and packaged the items correctly? I guess if it fits, it ships.

I vote return also.

If its worth the money you saved then keep it.

It's an entirely different type of abuse, though. That's the problem.

If it were me, I'd just inspect it really well and make sure all the teeth are there and nothing looks bent/cracked. Let the seller know he needs to upgrade his packaging next time he sells something.

Jeez, man.... I work in transportation and package stuff all the time. That looks horrible and I'd fire one of my guys for something like that. I'd also not put that in my car...

I completely understand the price point, but I'd go over that thing with a fine tooth comb before installing it. You said you had it insured, right? Time to call that claims number and say that it's been beat up. LOL.

I thought about that but from what I was told the person who shipped it gets the insurance money adn I have to try to get my money back from them….plus I'm too honest and don't have the time. Figure now if it comes down to buying replacement parts it can't be more than what a new one would cost haha

Just looking at that picture, did seller wrap that with bubble wrap or something?

Looks like he just threw it in there with no bubble wrap thats not really usps fault. cardboard alone is not going to live up to a metal clutch banging around inside.

You could take it to a flywheel resurface shop and see if they see anything wrong with it
