Turbo Timer with smart key

Hey guys as far as i know and with all the looking i did i found out that its almost impossible to install a turbo timer if you have a smart key. I know their are some ways like leaving an extra key inside etc to make it work or other tricks but that's just to much work. Well let me get to the point, my friend just bough a 2008 evo x with a smart key and the owner before him installed a turbo timer that works flawlessly, has someone figured out how to do it?? I havent really looked how all the wiring is set up but i want to ask here first if anybody has actually found a way to do it, if not im gonna ask him to let me look under his car to find out how he did it, thanks for reading

I think you'll be fine living in Delano with a water-cooled turbo.

I know we are fine out here in Phoenix, AZ without the TT. It was already 107 degrees yesterday for a few hours and most of the day 104

...I hate the heat

^^^ Yea for the most part you should be fine. I've always just sat in my car for like 30 seconds or something after I arrive at my destination.

I was just curious..

you don't really have to sit and wait 30 seconds to let your car cool down by the time you park and pop it in neutral its already cool down. only time TT is ness, is if your constantly beating and spooning your turbo up but then again its really up to you.

im pretty sure theirs shops out there knows how and may help you out

Primary use of them was for track use vehicles with turbo's only oil cooled.

When turbo's started to get big power in the 90's and more people were upgrading street cars to the larger turbos used on track cars it was necessary since street driving with an oil cooled turbo. Now that huge turbos are manufactured with watercooled centers the need has really disappeared, unless your at the track.

If you're really running your turbo that hard before you shut your car off: 1) stop driving like a douche 2) Leave earlier and stop using the huge performance of your car to make your commute that much shorter (be on time to places).

However, OPs reason to just 'want one', sure that works too. Can't hate for someone making it part of their style.

Its a fashion statement nowadays , In a hot climate an idling car with no relative airflow only gets hotter, im usually better off cruising the final stretch before i park up out of boost low rpm for a cool down , this applies to where I live anyway! Ofcourse if your turbo is glowing you probably shouldnt turn off the car immediately haha.
