Hey,

Does any one else think there gear box is loud when you shift? I always have the music loud so I never noticed or been in someone elses that had a exhaust, but I had a headache yesterday and wasn't playing it at all and was like uhhhh holy crap thats loud. I also only have 600 miles on it so it could be breaking in still. I just wanted to know if this will continue or if I should take it in.

5 speed or SST?

 

5 speed sorry. This is my 3rd car that is a stick and the only one where I can truly hear the gear box moving under the car.

 

where your previous cars FWD? if so, there can be more noticeable noise from the drivers seat (for RWD and AWD cars)... the gearbox is no honda... so yeah, it's louder...

What he said. My tranny clanks when I shift. It sounds like someone clapping.

 

I hear a pop a lot and if you don't remove the clutch pill you get that nice grind when the motor and tranny is cold.
