Adding fast key entry

Hey,

I searched around and hadn't seen anyone talk about it at all, but is it possible to add a fast key entry system to a base GSR? I have a 2011 GSR if it makes a difference. Or are there other options better than putting on the fast key entry?

Thanks,

Matt

Adding fast key would be painful... you'll need the in-door sensors, the new ignition interlock, in-car sensors, the trunk button with the sensor, and also to get Mitsu to reprogram your ECU to recognize the fast key. I can't see this being cheap. In Canada, the fobs alone are over $400 a piece.

Yea this ^^^ is correct. It's WAAAYYY too much trouble and expensive. There are a bunch of sensors to buy and install, along with the actually getting the car to recognize them.

Just another reason why I wouldn't buy a base Evo unless it was just going to be a straight track car.

The sight and sound package is the only package I cared for when getting my car. All the other stuff like leather and nav can be added later for much cheaper. Good luck with this though.

yeah, honestly your least expensive option is to trade your base in for a GSR with Sight and Sound package.

And Alpha, I assume you mean to get aftermarket Nav and some sort of aftermarket leather, because adding those at the dealership has a *huge* markup. I hate the extra weight, but I love my Sun and Leather package.
