Can you actually buy the Mitsu aero kit from dealer or is it a factory-installed option only? What comes with the aero kit and can it be installed without raising vehicle? Perhaps it can be found for less on Ebay or here from someone who is upgrading car?

You can buy the aero kit, and even the Nav setup at the dealer, however the prices are higher because then you're paying dealer labor rates. I think the aero kit is like $1800 at most dealers and the Nav is like $2600.

The aero kit from '08-'10 includes front lip, sideskirts (that are bigger) and rear pieces that affix to the the sides of the rear bumper. The rear pieces look a lot like the little wing-lettes from the 2004-05 STi front bumper OE lip kit. In 2011, the OE sideskirts are bigger, so you still get sideskirts but they are the same size and styled slightly differently (although I haven't figured out how to tell them apart yet).

You don't need to raise you car to install the lip kit as in suspension lift. However the install itself would go a lot faster if you use jackstands or a hydraulic lift. Sorry not sure what you're really asking so answered both ways.

You can find people that replace the factory aero kit and sell on here, however most people wont part with the skirts or the rear pieces just the front lip, and it's not that much cheaper than just getting it on the car when you buy it. However, there are *lots* of aftermarket options for aero. Reputable lips range in price from a few hundred to $1k-ish. Skirts are about the same. Haven't found anyone selling something for the rear like the aero kit though. Most people don't care, but I know I like the look of it.

I think you probably could just buy them, dont think you have to lift your car for it. You get the lip and the sides.

Got my quote from RC they wanted 36200 OTD with the SS but I would have to ship it which is going to cost another 800 or so

sounds pretty close. I paid like $37k for my GSR + sun and leather + sight and sound, and it had to come from northern Cali, so I paid..I think $950 for the shipping.

What's killing is the waiting for it to show up once it ships. Seems like it takes FOREVER.

You can buy the Aero Kit from the dealer. It usually runs around 1600-2000ish.

But you can just buy a lip- JDPs CF lip is around 400 or 500ish and that adds a lot to the car.

Not too late to hit them up for both, right? The S&L package was way less then SS, like $1800 IIRC.

Totally Worth It IMO. It really improves the feel of the interior with the leather, plus adding heated seats, which was awesome since I have a GSR. However, the upgrade is *really* heavy. Lose the aluminum roof and the seats really are heavy. So, it's a trade off. My Evo is slower then the average GSR, but for a daily driver it's a little more comfortable and will likely look better with daily driving abuse.

RC Hill has awesome prices and that is a good price on the SS package. I got mine for the same price 6 months ago from them. I would highly recommend them.

My main complaint with my IX GSR is the fact that it doesn't have HIDs. Installing HIDS on a non-hid car the right way is expensive and difficult, so I would definitely say the SS is worth it with the HIDs and sound system.

If/when I get an X, I will definitely be looking for one with SS.
