Hey guys, I just bought the Cobb Off eBay. Guy said he sold the car so he couldn't unmarry it. Can I do this myself? How would this work?

It's going to cost $300 to get Cobb to unmarry it. Best to get a refund.

Don't know why the guy didn't unmarry it before he sold the car. Takes like 5 minutes.

Yeah some things are too good to be true. Def get a refund and next time check into it if you are not sure about something. That can save you a lot of headaches and time.

I mean, if you paid 100 for the ap, just spend the 300 to have cobb fix it. they might even do it for cheaper. when i needed work on my ap they did it all for free, (i wasnt under warranty). so you have a practically new ap for 400, usually they sell for around 400+ on the forums anyways. It might save the hassle of trying to get a refund and the whole process that involves that.

Dude, I bought one off eBay recently and I saw that listing when I was searching. The seller said in the listing that it was still married to his car. 3 min of googling would have told you what that meant. Live and learn.

Cobb may negotiate a lower price to reset the unit for you, call them up and be very polite

even if you paid cobb the full 300 to unmarry it... you'd still have a used unmarried ap for 400, not a bad deal. Call Cobb!

Yep, still almost $200 below MSRP. I paid $375 for my used unmarried AP, $350-$400 is going rate for used.
