I couldnt believe it, and my brother-in-law who was in the car with me was flabbergasted. He is always getting tickets lol
He obviously knew what i was driving cuz of the whole "I know these things are fun to drive" comment. it might have actually gotten me out of a ticket. he probably has/had one hehe
You think richardson cops don't play? Have you been to plano?

I haven't been bothered yet either. I attribute to the fact that I am 42 and in a pretty nice area. I have the wing AND I have not put my plate on since I bought the car 6 months ago.

in reference to the OP and the video, I'm sure the construction zone didn't help the preludes case either....

Where I live there are no speedtraps or speed guns or cameras. Cops just have strategic spots where they hold traffic stops. They can't see who's speeding so with regards to speeding they just look out for "speedcars", stop them, and hope to find some other violation. Stereotype City!
I drove my fathers Ford Escort for years and just smiled at the sight of a traffic stop because I knew that they would not even notice me.
The 2nd day of driving my X and i get pulled over. The next (and up to now last) traffic stop i encounter i see a cop cross the road just to establish a line of sight with me and pull me over while there are 2 cars in front of me who have not reached the area where they indicate to continue or to pull over.
So I'm really happy for the OP that he got through. Almost like in the movies when the main character slides under the escape hatch just in the nick of time b4 it closes and whatever behind it explodes.

I have the same exp as you I think its the phantom black color, keeps us low key which is awesome. Soon though I should have my bronze wheels which might make my car stick out a little more.

I'm sure it's illegal for a cop to pull you over for no reason. If he tires to give you some bs just because of the way your car looks I would report him. Cops are here to protect the citizens not to pick on people who have a nice car.

I sometimes get the glance from cops next to me, I'm guessing it's the huge wing that first attracts their attention because I usually get looks at red lights/moderate traffic.

Here in Northern VA, I have yet to see cops on my tail or kids trying to street race. Then again, this is a nice area.

Interestingly enough, I know of three separate cops in my area that drive Mitsus (an Evo and two RAs,) and none of the people I know that drive Evos or RAs have been harassed. Actually the cop that owns the Evo also has a Ducati superbike and is the craziest driver I've ever seen on the street. I guess he can do that tho.

of course he does, he has a unmarked Charger, i bet he was hoping you tried your evo against his interceptor.. I wonder if they got the AWD chargers like ours do..

And do any of you all have the cameras up? They have started that over in OHIO so now they get there tickets in the mail, ppl are outrage and have started tearing some down, it's hilarious..

Ive been pulled over on the highway three times specifically because I had a wing (per their statement), twice in TX and once in GA.

Each time I was told people who have wings race, and people who race have records and or warrants etc.

Each time they were surprised when I told them the car comes stock with a wing.

In the cities it doesnt seem to matter, based upon my experience only. Ive gotten a lot of looks and stares driving around the country with that wing on.

Since Ive removed it, I dont get a second look if even a first one. The car seems to blend into Acura-BMW schema without it....
