New WW GSR owner:) 200 miles and needs new clutch?
Semi proud owner of a 2012 WW GSR. Picked it up 2 days ago on 7-31 and I love this car but got one little problem. Everytime I accelerate in first I feel and hear the clutch chattering. Happened since day one when I pulled the car off the lot and straight onto the freeway 80 miles home. Thought that was normal since its a new car and needs some time to break in.
Clutch started smelling bad so took it to the nearest dealer. They said flywheel is warped and clutch needs to be replaced but warranty doesnt cover wear and tear items. They told me to call corporate and file a claim. Now waiting for corporate to call back.
Been driving manual transmissions for 15 plus years without a single problem. Hope mitsubishi will resolve this problem without money out of pocket.
Nice forum and have a great day everyone

If this was a brand new car I would throw a FIT about them covering this under warranty. If you bought the car used...well warranty or not, the previous owner probably drove like a tard.
which would make me think "what else is wrong...?"
Good luck, sorry your test drive didn't catch this

This car had 9 miles which isnt much but enough for someone to f*** it up.

Corporate will replace it for you. No doubt. I wouldnt worry about that. It is an inconvenience to have to find rides or get a rental while the dealer has it.

Every single dealer in the US puts a few miles on the car. Its very typical for evo's to start out with 7 miles. The reason for is more than unloading and loading the cars. They check to make sure everything is good to go. So this leads me to believe that whomever drove your car has never driven an evo and he wanted to **** around and beat on it a little. I mean think about it. 9 miles is enough driving around for them to notice the problem and address it.

I bet some fools at the dealer launched it a few too many times when they got it...does the dealer have alot of evos in? I had mine built for me and it had 6 miles on the clock...so i dont think 9 miles is too bad but its what they did durring those miles....good luck man I'm sure Mitsu wont let this one slide by
