"Upgrade" to sport luxury?

Has anyone gone to or from a sport luxury car? Any time I take a new lady friend out, I notice that they're uncomfortable in the Evo. The car is the perfect driver's car, and is the most speed for the money (when tuned) but it's just not "nice" enough. I'm thinking about switching to something more refined. Slightly used cars in the 35-45k range I've had my eye on are 06 Maserati Coupe, 09 Jaguar XKR, 08 Cayman S, and BMW 135i. I dont really want a CTS-V or Lexus IS-F. I'm not quite worried about the performance of the chosen cars because they all have enough go, I was hoping for some inside information on current or ex-owners.

You should upgrade to a Audi TTRS.

The TT-RS is sweet, I love its performance. But it's out of my price range. I'm not looking over 50K. And I knew the "new girl" would come up, but it's more than one. It's been a few.

Have you looked at the Audi A5? You can get a brand new one in that price range you listed.

It was a joke... There is another recent thread about "downgrading" from a TTRS to an Evo.

As for the real question.

Don't do it! I tried and I had to come back. And I did it with a vengeance, now I have 2 Evo's. Worst case, go get an MR.

If you think Cayman S is comfy, man you need to reconsider.

I love my Evo X MR with touring package, my girl falls asleep on those seats all the time after work and school.

Goodservant, i suck at catching jokes lol. This is my second evo and I just keep coming back to them because it's always just been me. But I'm getting older and have to look at the bigger pic.

Alpha, I was actually looking at a used S5. I dont prefer to take the hit on new car depreciation. It's another option I'm looking at.

*****, I actually dont have any Cayman's around to test like some of the others, it's why I was hoping for some more info. It's actually the least attractive option just because I dont want to be "that guy" in a Porsche haha.

What about the Evo isn't "nice" enough?

The seats probably can't be made more plush easily, but you could go with a softer suspension and put in another resonator on your exhaust to quiet it down etc.

Or you just want something more upscale overall? (brand prestige, looks, dual climate control etc)

The suspension and resonator could help. But ya the seats could be more comfortable and all the little comforts of newer high end cars. Something that looks sleek is always a plus. It's not that I dont like the car, I love it to death, but it's something only I seem to love. I guess that's why this car is not for the masses.

Chicks dig BMW. Makes their panties melt right off. Their interiors are extremely sparse and boring though. As they should for a driver's car.

My buddy has an M3. They actually have a pretty good system. In normal mode the suspension and engine are MUCH more tame and comfortable. Push the M mode and the car transforms into a rocketship on rails.

Don't think the 135 has all that but it could be a good way to go regardless. Test drive one though. Pretty sure it's going to be close to the X interior with leather but yeah, Evo's definitely won't get you girls. Maybe it's the ultimate snobby girl filter though.

I didn't find the 135 nearly as comfortable as the 335. Not sure why, but it wasn't for me. If I were looking at the BMWs it would be a 335xi.

The Evo is actually quite comfortable IMO, but most girls hate bolsters on the seats. May be as simple as downgrading/changing your passenger seat to something comfy

Contact bsmack on this forum he is looking to sell or even trade out right + cash his audi TTRS for a EVO X. It might be a good deal if thats what you are looking for.

Me for one I would just upgrade my seats to the MR tour seats and the SS package you can always go to your dealer to get these thing and install any time. If your EVOs paid off then another low interest loan for those lux thing will be cheaper then buying a new car.
