All intakes are going to make about the same power. The AMS intake does require immediate tuning due to replacing the stock MAF housing. I personally have a Cobb inlet tube with an AFE Stage 2 DryflowS intake @ 416whp.

I have the injen intake. I wanted it because it has a heat shield and is the farthest away from the engine and is a short ram. I like the aem intake also but I just couldn't hear the stock bov and spool.

ETS makes a good intake! It would be sufficient for your power needs! And it relocates the BOV.
http://www.maperformance.com/ets-col...s-evoxint.html
But, would most likely need a tune with it.

ETS all the way, but you don't need a tune with it. It doesn't replace the stock MAF housing, and its made to run safely with the stock tune.

I just ordered an ETS intake after a couple weeks of researching. I cant wait for it to get here and installed. Everything I researched on it said great quality/performace gains, excellent customer service all for a resonable price.

Im considering between the K&N and the ETS intake for my 2012 gsr. Are they both short rams? and will I be able to hear the stock BOV and turbo spool as well? lol

soo ETS is a plug and play intake? I'm trying to put on as many parts as I can without a tune.. the rest I'll install at the shop.

You will on both. Also, as the OP pointed out the install of the K&N works on the GSR, but not the MR, so you should be fine if you decide to go that route

Totally is. If you have any questions give them a call Michael was awesome in my dealings with him.

With any intake, u can run without a tune....but u wouldn't get the full potential if u don't get a tune.

Aem intake gives u extra 20hp without tune, but with a tune, u get a total of about 40hp.

ETS, AMS, Cobb r all reputable names so going with them isn't a bad idea. I only went with aem because it is housed. MAF tube will be changed as well with aem but I know I ran the car without a tune for a few days then I got the Cobb accessport.
