Clicking sound after driving

Ok im new to this site and couldnt find a thread with my problem. I have a 2008 Evo X GSR with 33,000 miles. The sound is a steady clicking from the drivers side of the engine. It only happens after I drive kind of hard nothing crazy but above normal. I cant pin point what it could be or what is causeing the clicking. The car is well taken care of and never beaten. Any help or ideas would be great.

Sounds like a fuel pump? My GTI's high pressure fuel pumps would make this sound after driving. It's completely normal and nothing to be worried about.

Are you sure its not just the injectors pulsing that you're hearing? I have a slight hood vibration on mine, Hold your hand down on you hood and see if it goes away. Can you get a video of the sound?

Ill try to take a video of it today. Its louder then the belt on the other side of the engine and my hand on the hood didnt stop it. I was considering taking it to the dealer for the periodic inspection i just hate going there. If its the fuel pump where would the sound be coming from in the engine?

Are you sure it just isn't the catalytic converter cooling off. Does it continue after you shut the engine down.

If this is clicking you hear after you park your car and it's turned off?

A clicking sound happens all the time with cars that have iron blocks and aluminum heads because the thermal expansion rates differ. Even though the 4B11 is aluminum on aluminum I'm just going to take a random guess and say it's the same thing. tri-metal headgasket or something. Just taking a guess because you made it sound as "after you have driven your car hard", not "while" driving your card hard
