help.. car makes clicking sound

so after having my car sit like this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=328313 for awhile...

i got a friend to lend me some wheels until i get some new ones. well today i finally took it out for a drive to run some errands. but as i start driving i began to hear a clicking sound.. it just sounds like.. click click click click.. constant. but the weird part is that it only makes that sound when i'm going forward. when i go reverse i hear nothing. To me it sounds like its coming from the front. I thought it might have been the spokes of the wheels hitting the brembos but i checked and it clears fine. any other ideas of what i need to check?

thanks.

Check the stupid stuff first. Any rocks/nails stuck in the tire treads? Did you make sure the lugs are tight?

This also sounds dumb... but your rotors are not warped a little are they? With the new wheels as well as being extra paranoid you might hear them clipping a brake pad.

Have you pulled the front wheels to see if there are any new "shiny" spots? How wide are the wheels? Offset? Maybe they're rubbing something.

Good luck.

Could be rocks or salt chunks stuck in the tread, but it sounds like a cv joint problem.

I ran my car hard 1 day, and noticed a "clicking" sound coming from the engine bay... Took it to a local shop, and they told me it was the injectors working hard. It supposedly happends after running it hard... they told me it was nuttin! dont know if thats any help, but it was a clicking sound.
Is it possible to actually freeze anything like the axle, etc?

haha it was the stupid stuff! i was looking forever, checkin underneath an everything. i thought it was the breaks but then after driving it to see if it was still happening, i parked, and looked again.. lo and behold.. valve stems hitting the brembos! when i parked i to look again i saw the valve stem rubbin right on the caliper.
