Looking for comfort mods

I have 2008 MR Evo (14,000) miles and was wondering if anyone knows of a place that retrofits power adjustable Ricaro seats. I have plenty of power. I am just looking for some extra seat comfort. Appreciate some help. Thanks, Dalek in Miami, Fl.

It's hard to find things on a EVO that will help with comfort. I suspect power seats will require a lot of extra wiring that would make it a hard install. Try looking for info on the jdm auto evo 7s I belive they came with other seats

Thanks,

I have located an exact fit for Recaro power seats. The seats they put in the Evo are the bottom of the line. I think the seats I ordered will enhance the interior of the car and the ride. They will allow me to tighten the bolsters for a better ride through the turns at a road course. The install is pretty easy as the mounts are the same and running a few feet of wire under the carpets to the fuse box is nothing. All the adjustment controls are in the seat along with heat.

I love the stock Recaro's, I swear they help straighten out my back problems. I fail to see how adding power to a seat makes it more comfortable. I think adding massagers or heated seats will bring up the comfort level. Or heated steering wheels, auto dimming mirrors etc. you know BMW stuff

Can't wait to see the end results

Funny, I read the post yesterday before anybody responded and I almost said the exact same thing.

I hear the new Mercedes have seats that automatically increase bolster when you turn a corner. That's pretty cool technology.

I have always had cars with power seats. But I have realized that I like these more. It's INSTANT when you want to move it forward or backwards. I just wish instead of that turn knob, which takes forever they put a lever and you can just recline the back quickly.

But I love these seats. Even though they aren't 1000 way adustable like the BMW's they still seem to be more comfortable. I am used to the car now so I don't realize it, but when I drive my grildfriends new BMW I feel like I am going to slide right out of the car in a turn.

I found the car at a dealership in 2010. It had never been titled and had been sitting on the lot with three other MR Evos for two years. I bought the car in 2010 as a new, untitled car. I drove the car from Miami to my other home in NH. If you deduct the 6,000 miles from that trip. the remainder of the miles are short trips around FL. I di change the tires as sitting for two years did cause to shorten the life of the tires. I thought about selling the car but am having a difficult time deciding. The car is garage kept and great to drive. I don't use it much because of the traffic where I live, too many uninsured drivers. Also, the on-road speed challenges tend to disturb my wife. She continually reminds me that I am not 19 years old. Thus, it resides in the garage and only used on specific outings. Still deciding on the seats.
