ETS Intake question

I'm about to pull the trigger on a couple ETS products. Namely the V2 Standard Exhaust, HFC and intake.

I plan on installing these and getting the car pro-tuned from a reputable shop in my area(Titan Motorsports or PRS), but I have one question. The ETS intake, save for the heat shield, is pretty open to the elements. It rains quite a lot here, and heavy.

With these mods and a tune will I encounter issues when it is very wet/damp/raining? I ask because I had a 370z tuned with dual CAIs and over time(2 years) the car was almost unusable in the wet due to them(the car would just bog down and cut fuel).

Anybody, preferably in Florida or another muggy climate that can chime in would be great! Thanks!

I have ets intake and it sits high in the engine bay. You don't need to worry as it is not a CAI in the fender

ETS intake sits way high, unlike AMS.

I live in Portland Oregon where it rains a lot. I have the Ets intake and it always works perfectly. Great quality too.

I highly suggest you get the V2 Quiet catback instead of the regular though.

Well this is the setup I had with my previous car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2CPi...tailpage#t=18s

So I like loud-ish exhausts. But the quiet DOES sound nice but I think it would be way too quiet with the ETS high flow cat I'm getting don't you think?

Edit: The fun starts at 18 seconds in

Actually after researching the V2 quiet exhaust + HFC/test pipe combos it's DEFINITELY closer to what I want the car to sound like so I'll be changing it to a ETS test pipe and V2 quiet it seems. Already purchased the intake!

Also, a respectable local tuner here(PRS) said they recommend I get a GS 3-port to go with my Intake, catback, test pipe and tune because "The 3 port is needed to get the cars to boost over 24-25psi." - Zak from PRS

Is this true?

My car boosts to 27psi and I don't have any boost controller other than the one that comes on the car from the factory...just sayin.

I like the quiet with test pipe as well. Good choice! If you need a GS 3-port, we can get that as well for you. If the tuner recommends the part, I would get it as well. It would suck to be mid way through your tune to find out the tuner can't tune the factory solenoid.

Thanks!

Michael

I got the ETS intake + V2 quiet +tune at the same time (stock cat )wasnt too loud at first (which i kinda wish it was louder ) .... now after 1000- 1500miles i noticed the exhaust got louder (which i like alot)

is it normal for the exhaust to get alittle louder compared to brand new ? (didnt know there is a breakin period)
