test pipe rattling...

i need some help...i ran out of ideas on what to do....i have 2010 evo x...with greddy shorty dp, ap catless tp with a cnt version rs & torque solution hangers, intake, n uicp....(akuma tuned)my issue is that for some reason after i have done the exhaust...the test pipe section where it connects to the rear section rattles n shakes causing it to knock on the heatshield n on to the bottom of the car...i cant seem to figure out what is left to do...my mech has literally rearrange the whole exhaust hangers on the car to lower the exhaust system keeping it away from the body of the car...that helped alittle but after idling for awhile it comes back nonstop until i step on the pedal then it will be back to normal then after idling again the noise comes back...driving me insane...everyone looks at the car making hoopdee noises (quite embarrassing) it has come down to the point where im thinking is it because of the test pipe being straight n not having that little bend like the stock one would or is it something else??

please help...thinking about going back to stock exhaust...but i dont know if it would hurt cause i got a dyno tune...and suggestions on what i need to do next or options would be??

thanks guys..

imma make a video of it within these few days so you guys would have an idea of it..

can you bend the heat shield so it sits further from the tp? if not maybe you can remove it and trim the part that rattles?

It sounds like you know exactly what's going on. I might put some chalk or orange paint or something on the heat shield to identify exactly where it is hitting and then bend or cut away that piece. Let it idle, get it to rattle, and then see where it touches (if you can't tell exactly now).

The point is, and you know this already, just trying to rearrange the pipe hangers, or push things out of the way temporarily is not going to work.

Good choice, straight testpipes are known to rattle and should be avoided.
