Whats more important in purchasing a used EVO X MR, miles or package options?
This is my current delima, i am looking hard at a 2010 MR with 12K miles but has everything from fastkey to fosgate, but no navi. And the other is a 2011 MR with nothing but has 2K miles on it, both are tramac black
... I know the TC-SST is something to consider highly when purchasing a MR expecially a used one, so idk... granted i could just eventually put my own system in the 2011, but seems better if already came with it, and fastkey seems liek a cool feature....*sighs*

I must say I miss the fosgate system. Used to be able to listen to it at 15 volume now I have to have it at around 30 w/ no bass cause there is no sub. I miss my HID's (I think they make the car look just so much nicer plus a lot brighter at night driving). I miss my fast key the most. BUT I think if my car old car had nothing on it I wouldn't of cared but the things I miss the most is not having the aero package/HIDS (makes the car looks meaner/cleaner plus now I'm spending money on a front lip). The aero/HIDS are not cheap by any means at all and look to spend a couple grand if you’re not gonna cheap out on it. I did get spoiled with all the extra things and I miss all of it.
The deciding factor for me was the one dealer took more off the price then another and that was the car that just happened to have half the miles which made me more comfortable with the car. It comes down to what you want. A car with less miles and the less of the headache to worry if something is wrong with it (even though there is a warranty mitshi is **** when it comes to it) or probably just as good of a car with more miles on it but more upgrades. Sorry this is so long I am just bored
Look into maintenance costs for the SST. I know flushing the tranny is supposed to be pretty pricey. If your going to change out the sound system than the fosgate system is pointless. However, the fosgate system comes in the sight and sound package, so youll get HIDs which is a definite plus. Honestly id say just go for a GSR with sight and sound. if you look around you can find new ones for like $36k

I would say see what features you like and which ones you can go without. I always worry about buying a used car since you do not know how the person before you drove it. I know it still under warranty but who wants to buy a car then have it in a dealership for weeks fixing stuff. If you can afford it go new, thats what I did. The interest rate on new compared to used made the monthy only 20 bucks more. Thats a no brainer.
When it comes to options I'd say it depends on what you "want", what you "need" and what you can easily add later to avoid paying the added / inflated cost up front. Sound is easily upgraded, navi is a huge waste of money, HID's from the factory are $$$ to duplicate and so on....
Less mileage is probably the better route to go, but an Evo that was driven to red line for 2K versus a daily-driver that was driven conservatively for 12K could mean the higher mileage is in better condition. Once the TC-SST is warmed up you should be able to tell if one is behaving differently than the other during a spirited test drive.

that was just to prove where i got it from since he posted as if i was pulling that out of thin air..... And other than Carmax honestly around here there aren't really any good deals because there is now only 1 dealership with in 60 miles of greater cincinnati, and they want 46K for a 2012 MR ridiculous
