Turboback Exhaust Setup

Hey guys i am buying my turboback exhaust and am going with Ultimate Racing catback exhaust with AMS widemouth downpipe, and am not sure about the test pip. Was either thinking AMS or ETS. But for ETS does the bend really help that much. Also wasnt sure if id run into any problems(TP+DP not fitting etc.) with having all different pieces for the setup. Wanted to see what you guys thought.

Thanks

man that's a lot of mixing and matching...

you are essentially risking things not fitting 100%, in this case man.. just try it, really no way of telling you its going to fit.

well that said, I've personally seem the ets test pipe and it is a real nice piece ( so nice that i am going to get the one with the hfc hehe).
What i like about it, its that it routes like the stock setup, essentially it won't hit any part of the car.

good luck man, I honestly wouldn't mind seeing your outcome.

It definately is a very nice Test Pipe and i love the fact that its not going to touch the drivetrain, just am not sure if i should mix and match that much. Thats why i was thinking of going with and AMS test pipe to make sure that the AMS widemouth DP and the TP if i get AMS fit nice and snug. Such a hard time choosing. Thankfully, i havent ordered the TP yet, and would like to see what others are running. And also wouldnt mind to see if it all fits aswell, but thanks for the help man.

I would think it should be fine, even though it is alot of different vendors.

Why not just go ETS catback, ETS testpipe, and AMS DP/O2? The ETS and UR designs are very close to each other..

Well i already bought the Ultimate Racing exhaust and AMS widemouth DP. SO was just wondering what to get for TP. Plus, i like the exhaust note that comes out of the UR dual catback. So thats why i went with that. Im just worried about running into problems. Might just go AMS to make sure the DP and TP fit snug.

Do you guys think i will have any problems with the TP connecting with the UR exhaust?

If your downpipe and catback works with the factory cat pipe, it's going to work with our test pipe. We utilize the exact same start and stop point for OEM fitment.

Ok thanks Michael, but i havent put on the catback exhaust or Downpipe yet to see if it fits with the OEM cat pipe. So, not sure if they all do fit at this moment. Also, when i was going to order your test pipe last night when i was sure about buying it, it said i had to contact the store administrator. It kept on denying my order.

I have the UR catback and it fits with the stock cat. I think the piping is bigger on the UR but the flanges fit fine. I was planning on going with the UR testpipe, although I never thought there was a difference in test pipes. Now you got me thinking. Is there a performance or sound difference between test pipes? I know UR says that theirs is not suppose to throw the code as easily but I guess if it is getting tuned it shouldnt matter.

I have the ETS intake and it is great. So if you go ETS I am sure it will be good.

Has anybody had a problem with the straight pipes like UR Test pipe rubbing the driveshaft?

I have the HKS hipower catback and ETS test pipe and the fit perfectly! The ETS testpipe is about the nicest piece Ive ever seen, I almost wanted to hang it in my room because it was so nice!

I ended up going with the AMS straight test pipe with the O2 sensor bung to get rid of the CEL without having to tune it. Am going to drive around for a little with no tune. But after what i have read and asked my friends, theres doesnt touch the driveshaft. One has a Megan TP and the other has an AMS TP. I was only going to go with ETS for the bend in the TP. But since my friends said it was fine, i was like **** it. Might as well get AMS widemouth DP with AMS TP. So hopefully itll work out. Should be here by the weekend and ill post my results.

I don't see the point in ever mixing and matching. ETS and AMS are clearly the best out there, so why not go ETS turboback or AMS turboback and keep it all the same and simple. Your not going to have fitment issues with either or they wouldn't have the rep they do. If anything its going to be that UR cbe.

Well sometimes we have to mismatch a little. For exhaust, sound, looks and performance come into play. So I chose UR. But AMS has the best downpipe. as far as straight pipe, I guess AMS or UR would be good. Im pretty sure they all match up though.

Exactly what he said, i love the sound that the Ultimate Racing dual exit catback exhaust makes. So, that is why i chose that and the only reason i was going to go with ETS was because it has the bend in the TP to avoid hitting the driveshaft. But after talking to my friends and seeing other people with the AMS TP and not having any problems i just bought both the AMS TP and widemouth DP.
