Or you can just swap them out when you want, just don't drive too often or the rubber in winter tires will eat up much faster.
I have used Bridgestone Blizzaks on my GT-R since February 2009, and alternated them with the stock Bridgestone Potenzas until last year. So I've run the Blizzaks for well over a year! Still lots of tread left, too. Then again, I haven't put many miles on my GT-R the past two years.

I got Continental Extreme Contact definite change in performance but they handle the snow pretty well.

I have Yokohama I pikes with Rota boost rims I just picked up in Chicago, I live in Michigan. The winters hear can be bad. Mainly because lake effect snow, I have never really had snow tires so I am excited to see what happens this winter. I am undercoating my car too, I really do not enjoy rust so I am taking all the precautions like I have on all my cars in the past.
